Project Manager

Working side by side with the Portas Partners and our clients, main responsibilities include:

  • Leading team problem-solving - e.g., identifying issues, developing hypotheses, defining the approach, developing recommendations 
  • Being accountable for the delivery of high quality documents, presentations and other client materials
  • Managing client projects with a high degree of self-sufficiency
  • Developing strong client relationships and acting as main client contact on the ground
  • Coaching and managing Portas team members on a day to day basis
  • Supporting business development efforts and leading internal firm building activities

We are looking for candidates with typically (but not exclusively) previous consulting experience, fulfilling the following requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a top management consultancy (or equivalent)
  • Self-directed, proactive and entrepreneurial; able to work with minimal guidance
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills; consummate team player and leader
  • Superb people management skills; able to guide, motivate and coach a team of world class professionals
  • Excellent problem solving skills and academic track record
  • Experience of successfully managing complex projects and teams
  • Passion for sports and entertainment
  • Authorization to work in the UK without restriction (for UK office applicants)


As a Project Manager at Portas Consulting, you will have the opportunity to focus exclusively on the sports and entertainment sector and to work with board level clients on a regular basis.
