Comprehensive review involving multiple stakeholders in the golf landscape.

Golf has seen a significant decrease in weekly participation since 2006. There was a lack of clarity, focus and alignment on strategic priorities and a need for a new strategy to increase participation. 

We developed a comprehensive fact-base and a clear strategy for increasing golf participation with a focus on improving the club environment. We also created action plans for strategic priorities, including governance, communication and delivery.

As part of the project we also aligned stakeholders behind the strategy and established effective and efficient working relationships between key partners.

Our approach 

We conducted a highly consultative process by interviewing 60+ stakeholders, visiting golf clubs and facilitating workshops with England Golf, PGA and Sport England.

We also reviewed 100+ data sources, including England Golf strategy, plans, organisation and best practice as part of the process.
