Full review of cricket participation in England and Wales.

Despite focused increase in funding and resources, weekly participation in cricket has declined in recent years. As a result, ECB and the main stakeholders in the game identified the need for a comprehensive review of the recreational game with the aim to unify the overall game to boost participation.

We created a detailed strategy with integrated initiatives and designed the organisation that would achieve the greatest impact on participation.

We achieved alignment of all stakeholders and as a result aligned resources and funding behind this single strategy for the recreational game.

Our approach

We lead a highly consultative and fact-based process by conducting primary research through a survey of 20+ County Boards and by interviewing c.70 leaders, key stakeholders and the wider cricket network.

We also conducted 4 workshops and regular group sessions with key stakeholders and analysed over 170 data sources as part of the process.
